Revolution
A powerful word
It speaks of change, of movement, progress, hope. That there is potential for things to be different. For the world to be changed. For your world to be changed.
That is what we believe Jesus Christ came to bring. Revolution in the lives of his followers. That they might become revolutionaries in His world.
It’s about turning lives around. Because before Jesus we were destined for destruction. Our lives were not our own. We had sold ourselves short of the awesome destiny God had for us. And because of his incredible love for us he couldn’t leave us there, stuck in the mud we had walked straight into. Jesus came to set us free to fulfil our destiny. To live lives that change history, and go on into eternity.
This is the kind of revolution of which I speak. Transformed lives full of love for Jesus, passionately pursuing our destiny to love and serve others in whatever way he call us to each day. That is different. That is worth giving your life to. Jesus is worth giving your heart to. If you haven’t done it yet do it now. It’s the best decision you’ll ever make. Join the Revolution. Love God + Love People. That’s the heart of Jesus’ message, and that’s at the heart of our youthwork.
Community at the CORE
Community is, and has always been an essential part of the Christian faith. It is not a solo belief system for the individual. We exist in relationship with our creator and His created - thats us!.
One of our core values is to learn to love one another, support one another and develop a community of people where any young person is welcomed, loved and accepted.
Engage the brain
Apparently humans only use 10% of their total brain capacity and sometimes I think Christians use even less! God, however, is complex and understanding how we, as Gods creation, should engage with our world requires some thought. Understanding the bible and the teachings of Jesus, understanding our purpose, our spiritual gifts and how to use them, is no simple task.
It is a critical part of our ethos to enable young people to think carefully about their own faith and what they believe. To learn to look at what God has been, and is, doing throughout his creation and to listen carefully to God about His sovreign plan for their lives.
In the world - period!
God send his son to interact with the world, walk, talk, love and even die for those who really needed to know Him. Its our job to do the same… maybe even the last part too.
The christian message cannot be contained, in fact, it WILL not. Everyone on the planet needs to know that God loves them, that they are forgiven, created with a purpose and not an accident of genetic mutation. We want to enable and encourage young people to share their faith, to show Gods love to others in practical ways and to take THE message of hope to people near and far, regardless of the cost.

The Uxbridge Parish
Revolution is part of the Uxbridge Parish, which is made up of St Margaret’s and St Andrew’s Churches. We are part of the Diocese of Willesden and the London Borough of Hillingdon. There’s a lot of activity in our parish, we are very involved in the community and our heart is to see people’s lives transformed by knowing God’s love and living Christ’s way.
