Super & Spiritual Saturday

Wednesday, November 15th, 2006

Wondering how to spend your Saturday?? Well, wonder no more! There’s 2 great events happening near Uxbridge for young people,

for the boys…

tough talk

…a group of ex-bouncers, body-builders, champion power lifters & debt collectors…Hear their amazing story and try to bench press against them! This is an evangelistic event, and might be a good thing to bring your friends to for them to hear about how God loves people and has changed these people’s lives. Saturday 18th November, 7.30pm @ Bishopshalt School, Free Entry, Call 01895 233466 for more details

and for the girls…

Soul sista

Why not book yourself in for a day with God and a whole load of other girls? there’s time to worship with great bands and chill with God, talks on how to be whole & holy, and space to get munchies and find bargains @ the thrift store AND a whole corner for pampering with foot spas and much more…. definitely worth a visit.

Go to http://www.soulsista.co.uk/New%20Site/Events.htm to find out more and get your tickets (a bargain at £7.50), make sure you’ve got a plan for getting to watford, and why not encourage other young people you know to go too. It’s quite a Christian event, so if you’re gonna invite people who aren’t yet Christians, make sure they know that.

Manic Monday at the Vibe!

Tuesday, October 31st, 2006

So it’s Halloween today, not something worth celebrating really, but perhaps an opportunity to love our neighbours?? what do you think?? Got any ideas? I have.

I’ve been thinking about making some cards that say ‘This is not a trick, you have been treated, God bless you this Halloween!’ with a celebration chocolate stuck to them to stick through my neighbours doors. Anyone else got any ideas??

Monday night saw the Return of the Vibe! We had a great first night, take a look…

The Return of the Vibe…

Sunday, October 22nd, 2006

After much discussion and debate the Vibe has re-emerged on Monday nights starting Monday 30th October at St Andrew’s Church Hall. Hooray! Download the new term plan today! (see side bar)

The Vibe is for young people in years 7-9 to come and meet up, play crazy games, chill out and talk about what it means to be a Christian and a young person everyday.  Your friends are welcome, and we try and create space for you to think and ask questions and talk about your life - the good, the bad and the ugly!

As this week is half term, Cells aren’t meeting but we’ll be back next Tuesday to help with the all singing all dancing Bright Party, and then get some Macdonalds and chill out there after.  See you then! Have a great half term.
