BotB '10

The Battle of Bands ’10 semi finals took place at The Uxbridge Centre on 20th & 27th July. It was where the members of the bands fought together using the weapons of music genius. 4 bands competed on each evening and the top two bands qualified for the final which took place on 24th April.

The names of the bands were: The Provacatives, No Response, The Targeteers, Far Fallen, Who Saves the Heroes?, Definition, Electric Fusiliers & Sunny Blue Skies.

There were three judges that judged each evening on five sections of the musical madness: musicanship, crowd interaction, originality, tightness as a band and overall performance. Over the contest our judges were: Vikki Connolly, Girik Farrow, Lizzie Telfer, Jon Sprake, Joy Atkins, Chloe Dickinson & Mike Moore.

The man behind scenes was Christian Halford. Each band was challenged to sell up to 30 tickets, each costing £5. £1012.50 was raised. This will be donated towards the Amos Trust Fund who are providing an ambulance for street children in Durban.

All evenings were awesome and would not have been complete without the hosting by the insane, comical and Talented Tibbles (Matt Ogilvie) & Stevo Fairbairn was there too.
