Life…It’s all about you…Or is it?
So many people telling you how to live! Cells offer you space to work it out for yourselves. Space to ask questions, to offer your take on the world, and investigate God’s. Our policy is that if God’s not pushy, then we’re not gonna be either, he gives us room to explore what it means to live life to the full. So far, our explorations have taken us to redecorating houses, gardening, documentary making, mcflurry tasting, playing bible charades, studying the art of connecting + watching nooma dvd’s.
Cell groups are run by young people for young people, so everyone has a say in how things are run, and what we do with our time. Whatever you are good at, there’s space for you to get involved and be a blessing to others.
Cells began in September 2005 with the aim to empower young people into leadership and encourage participation in our youthwork. For some time we had worked with young people to prepare and lead their groups, but we felt the time had come to step up their level of responsibility and involvement in the management and delivery of the youthwork. It has been a great privilege to work with the cell leaders, to see them experiment with different ways of leading, to become more committed to their relationship with God and to the church in which they serve. Our hope is that as we work with the few, many will benefit.
This term we are at youth alpha (click for more details). Do come along or get in touch for more details!
